2017 Boston Pride Grand Marshall Kristen Porter Presents (Dyke Night® & The List: Boston’s Queer Agenda) and Boston Pride host the JP Block party.
What can you expect? Over 2,000 LGBT women, trans and non-binary folk, drag queens and kings, rescue dogs, and friends of all ages take over Perkins Street for a fun filled outdoor afternoon.
*NEW* this year:
FREE admission 1-2 pm during which we will have special activities for kids big and small.
BEER TASTING 1-3 pm with BRAZO FUERTE ARTISANAL BEER (local lesbian owned!)
FOOD vendor – come for lunch and stay for dinner! Our new layout also provides seating for eating.
STAGE a larger stage to better accommodate the show… and what a show we have for you!
3 pm- 4 pm: The beloved 5th Annual Divas, Dogs & Drag Show
Features available-for-adoption rescue dogs (thanks to PAWS New England) showcased by celebrity drag queens and kings.
At last year’s event we stopped the party for a moment of silence for the victims and survivors of the Pulse Orlando tragedy. This year, two of those survivors are spending the one-year anniversary with us to perform in the show.
4 pm-8pm: DJ LeahV
After the show, the street morphs into one giant dance floor with DJ LeahV aka ‘The People’s DJ’.
With several cash bars (21+ to drink), food, drag, dogs and dancing — the block party is sure to nourish your body, mind, & spirit!
All ages. No cover 1 pm- 2 pm, $10 advanced tix (coming soon), or door $15 2 pm- 8 pm.
